On Wednesday night, the Harlem community and beyond joined together to raise up our neighbors who had suffered the terrible explosion at E 116th and Park Ave. weeks ago. Through ticket sales, raffles, and auctions, we were able to raise over $50,000 to support the efforts of the American Red Cross of Greater New York in aiding the survivors. And those who could not give money gave their time, effort, and goodwill, all of which made the benefit a truly a night to remember.

Last night was the second installation of Ginny’s Salon Series, featuring writer and critic Hilton Als. When a night includes six stellar chefs, a MacArthur Fellow jazz pianist, and a marrow bone used as a salt shaker, it’s an event you won’t soon forget. As Election Results Come In, a Party Arises at Ginny’s

By Jeannette Park | November 7, 2012

Election Party 2012

Whether you voted Red or Blue, the scene at Ginny’s Supper Club last night was pure adrenaline and emotion. Guests snacked on dishes from a special Election menu –Wisconsin Cheddar and Mac with maple glazed bacon, the Obama Dog Chicago Style and a Red Hen dish (our Election night version of Fried Yard Bird) were the big winners of the night–and sipped Obama and Romney-themed cocktails. As the ballots were counted and the electoral votes added up, the night was all about exercising our right to vote and celebrating the best way we know how. Read More
