On July 24, from noon to 1:30 p.m., Marcus will host a cooking demo and sign copies of Yes, Chef at Macy’s in Minneapolis. The demo will feature recipes from the memoir—as well as Marcus’s new, exclusive cookware collection for the store, available this fall! On July 23, Marcus will enjoy dinner at Restaurant Eugene. A Yes, Chef signing will first take place, followed by special five course meal inspired by the book. With a street address—on Peachtree Road—as Georgian as its cuisine, Restaurant Eugene has been treasured in Atlanta fine dining for years. The event is now sold out.

Talk and Book Signing at the American Swedish Institute

July 24, Marcus will speak at the Nelson Cultural Center of the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis. If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by! Anyone who would like to attend should arrive before 2 p.m. when the event begins, since seating will be limited. A book signing will also take place, and copies of the memoir will be available in the Museum Shop.

After speaking at the American Swedish Institute, Marcus will head to Cooks of Crocus Hill on Grand Avenue for a book signing and cooking demo. The signing will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be open to anyone who’d like to attend. Following at 6:30 p.m., a three course dinner will take place, costing $90 per person—and including a copy of the memoir! Though the dinner is now sold out, you can sign up for the wait list here.

July 26, a dinner to celebrate the release of Yes, Chef will take place at 7 p.m. at Michael’s Genuine in Miami. Tickets for the event are still available for purchase here! $150 per person, including appetizers, a four course meal with wine pairings, and a signed copy of the memoir. Inspired by Yes, Chef, the menu was specially designed by chefs Michael Schwartz, Bradley Herron, and Hedy Goldsmith. The courses, in order, will be: wood roasted eggplant with chickpeas, heirloom tomato, raisins, yogurt; local fish with coconut milk and rice; berbere braised beef with flatbread; wood roasted peaches with honey, and rice milk custard with curried wafers and pickled rhubarb.

Guest Chef Dinner at Coppa in Boston [SOLD OUT]

For the final July event of the book tour, Ken Oringer’s and Jamie Bissonnette’s restaurant Coppa will hold a guest chef dinner in honor of the memoir’s release on July 30. Dinner will begin at 7 p.m. While tickets are now sold out, depending on the weather, additional tickets may become available on the day of the event. Hello, Atlanta! Marcus to Speak at City Hall.

After arriving in Atlanta for the Yes, Chef book tour, Marcus will meet and speak with the 100 kids who were selected for the city’s youth jobs program for the summer. Then, in connection with the City Hall book club, Marcus will lead a cooking demo later that afternoon.
