Monday Nights Red Rooster Harlem and Ginny’s are home to the 7-piece Rakiem Walker Project, who take audiences through a rich stylistic journey of African-American music. The group features a roster of talented musicians, including the well-known street saxophonist Rakiem Walker, who has been the musical director for several projects including the MTV-sponsored Blusyde,and pianist and hip-hop producer Enterfied “The God of Sound” McCloud, whose credentials include touring with and producing Erykah Badu, Bilal, the Game, and Jadakiss. Also prominent in this group is the young vocalist Latoya Kennedy, whose sultry voice overlays and blends the instrumentation perfectly.
