TICKET: $100 for Dinner and Author Reading ($80 for FPA members),
$150 for VIP Reception, Dinner, and Book Reading ($120 for FPA members)
All attendees receive a copy of Marcus’ new memoir, Yes, Chef.
Flavors and cultures collide when internationally acclaimed chef and winner of Bravo’s Top Chef Masters, Marcus Samuelsson, shares his bestselling memoir, Yes, Chef. Adopted by a Swedish family after his mother succumbed to tuberculosis in his birth country of Ethiopia, Samuelsson’s journey to the top kitchens of New York City is a unique one. Samuelsson’s diverse cultural background feeds his passion for blending culinary traditions at his award-winning restaurants.
The Racquet Club of Philadelphia prepares a special meal honoring Marcus’ Ethiopian and Swedish roots. Dinner includes wine.
VIP attendees mingle with Marcus at an intimate pre-dinner reception, with hors d’oeuvres from Taste of Norway and a special cocktail created in Marcus’ honor.
Dress: Cocktail Attire (no jeans or sneakers allowed)
THE MENU
First Course: Misr Wot (Ethiopian Lentil Soup)
Second Course: Tunisian Braised Short Ribs with Atakilt wrapped in Injera
Third Course: Seared “Taste of Norway Salmon” over Swedish Potato Cake and topped Cucumber Salad
Fourth Course: Poached Ginger Pear with Vanilla Cream.
Cabernet and Riesling will be served with dinner, courtesy of Precept Wine.
