Come listen to the “soulful sax man” Melvin Smith as he performs at Ginny’s Supper Club on July 26th. A  native of Jacksonville, Florida, Smith began playing saxophone at the age of thirteen and would go on to perform at tremendous events like the Montreux Jazz Festival and even embark on a European tour. During his early musical development Smith was fortunate to have great musical experiences like performing at the Montreux Jazz Festival and a European tour. Since moving to New York Smith has played with such influential jazz artists as Charli Persip, Kim Burell, Hubert Eaves III, Ben Vereen, Michael Henderson, and Norman Connors.
