One of the many, many great charities in New York City is Children of Bellevue’s Toast to the Children event. This year the event will be held on Tuesday, April 24th and the emcee of the night will once again be board member and honorary chair, Tom Colicchio. As part of America’s oldest public hospital, Children of Bellevue raises money to fund the development of programs that improve the health and well-being of pediatric patients. Donations and proceeds from the Toast to the Children event ensure that those that need healthcare and medical attention will never be turned away.
A few tickets to the VIP reception and general admission are still available and it’s a great way to sample what the chefs around NYC are creating. There’ll be a silent auction (you can bid on dinner for two at Red Rooster!) and plenty of opportunity to mingle with fellow foodies, chefs and former contestants from past seasons of Top Chef.
I’m humbly honored to be the 2012 Toast to the Children culinary honoree and my pal Al Roker and TODAY show senior producer Jaclyn Levin will be the literacy honorees for their work on “Al’s Book Club for Kids.”
Hope you’ll join me in supporting this worthy cause.
