The Food Network’s New York Wine & Food Festival is set to kick off its 2011 festivities of all things wonderful about food and wine with a dinner at The Red Rooster. On September 29th from 7:00-10:00pm there will be a multitude of guests whom will dine with famous chefs on the mind. The dinner will be a three-course meal centering on the celebration of artisanal food makers and local farmers all the while showcasing the vibrancy of Harlem.
Chef Andrea Reusing from Reusing’s award winning Lantern restaurant in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, along with Chef Hedy Goldsmith, from Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink in Miami, Florida will be joining Marcus in this celebration of all things local. Chef Reusing is accustomed to keeping the farm-to-table concept in mind as his restaurant uses only farm fresh produce. Reusing’s restaurant was named one of “America’s Most Amazing Wine Experiences” by Food & Wine Magazine.
Chef Goldsmith is a nationally acclaimed chef and has been showcased on Food Network’s The Best Thing I Ever Ate. Together all three chefs will seek to inspire all who are there to experience a farm-fresh meal on the opening night of The New York Wine & Food Festival.
