Red Rooster Hosts South African Wine Tasting

By admin | September 25, 2011

Are you ready to witness a wine tasting like no other? This Monday, September 26th, Red Rooster Harlem will host a special wine tasting with all-things South African. That day, Mark Solms, the owner of Solms Delta winery in South Africa, will be joining Red Rooster to share and taste his wines with our guests in the bar area from 6:30-9:30pm. Guests will able to interact and chat with Mark and our very own expert bar director, Christian Post, about the Solms Delta South African wines; and guests will also have the chance to purchase flights of Solms Delta wine for only $10, featuring an impressive selection of his Cape Jazz Shiraz, Langarm blend, and Africana Shiraz.

But the festivities don’t end there! Chef Mike Garrett has crafted a menu of South African bites, all priced at $5, to be enjoyed with Mark’s wines. Dishes will include Bunny Chow, Fried Yard Bird Nuggets with Atjar, and Pop Cake Fries with spicy mayo. To add sweet beats this grand occasion, we’ll have a South African DJ showcasing the soulful music of his country.

So don’t miss out on our South African Wine Tasting Party at 6:30pm this Monday, September 26th at Red Rooster Harlem. Hope to see you all there!
