The Beer Revolution in America

The United States is experiencing a beer revolution, and in the near future American craft beers will be produced on the European continent. In Jenn Garbee’s article “The American craft beer scene goes global,” she describes how more American breweries are looking to Europe for expansion. I’m excited to watch how this trend develops.

Soon, Greg Koch of Stone Brewing Co. will decide on the location of the first American craft brewery in Europe. Right now, Bruges and Berlin are the top two contenders. Although American craft beers have been exported to Europe, those brews haven’t actually been produced overseas. Now, the demand for American craft beer is overwhelming, and companies like Stone need to grow.
