The Old Red Rooster with Adam Clayton Powell Jr.

I get so excited every time I think of the way Red Rooster is coming together. This whole process has opened me up to learning more about the history of the original Red Rooster, which was located a bit further uptown in Harlem. Just last week, a nice gentlemen named Grant sent me photos of his grandmother who was a bar maid at the Rooster and shared this photo of her below circa the 1950s, seated with Adam Clayton Powell Jr.
