Even when so many people are trying to eat healthy, fast food is still a very popular choice around the country with Americans spending more than $110 billion a year at fast food restaurants. A new study released by the personal finance and business website Bundle.com surveyed citizens of the U.S.’s 100 largest cities and asked them about their fast food eating habits.

Based on their survey, bundle.com found Plano, Texas to be the nation’s fast food capital. In Plano, people spend 2.3 times more than the national average on fast food and make 2.18 times more transactions at fast food joints than the national average. In the top 10, after Plano came Madison, WI, followed in order by Wichita, KS, Akron, OH, Fort Wayne, IN, Kansas City, MO, Chandler, AZ, Raleigh, NC, Baton Rouge, LA and Omaha, NE.

The study also revealed Orlando to be the densest fast food city. This Florida city has the most Burger Kings, KFCs, Pizza Huts and Taco Bells per 100,000 people of any city in the country.

On the other hand, out of the 100 cities surveyed, the study found Boston, MA to be the least fast food interested city, spending 92 percent less than the national average on fast food. In general, coastal cities like Boston, along with places like San Francisco, Washington, and New York City tended to spend less than the national average, whereas the centrally located, land-locked cities averaged higher fast food spending.
