Drinks

TGIF! We’re starting off your weekend right with a super cocktail recipe. Not that we suggest drinking in the morning, but this is a recipe you’ll definitely be glad you made this weekend. To try to hold on to the last bit of summer we have left, we’ve created this refreshing fruit variation on the vodka martini.

The exotic Lychee fruit is becoming more and more popular here in the U.S. and is being more widely used in cocktails throughout the city. The added blueberries just add a hint of tart to the super sweet lychee. Muddling the fruits before hand is also a great way to release the natural juices and will make the drink taste very different than if you had just used lychee juice.

  • Ice cubes
  • 4 oz vodka
  • Dry vermouth
  • Lychee berries and liquid from lychee can
  • Blueberries

Directions

1. In a cocktail shaker muddle a few lychees with a small handful of blueberries and a bit of the liquid from the lychee can.

2. Add vodka, a splash of dry vermouth, and cracked ice.

3. Shake well and strain into chilled martini glasses.
