Samuelsson at HP Opens in Bermuda

By Marcus Samuelsson | June 2, 2014

Tonight my pop-up at the Hamilton Princess in Bermuda opens for service. Our team has been hard at work creating this one-of-a-kind dining experience and sneak peak at what’s in store for 2015′s opening.

I couldn’t be more excited to create new flavors inspired by the rich, vibrant culture and history of Bermuda.  From fresh-caught, local fish to an array of Caribbean and Portuguese ingredients and traditions, there is such a wealth of inspiration to bring to the table. While cooking on an island can sometimes create unique challenges, it also is an incredible source of inspiration. Island living and style is one that constantly influences my outlook on Harlem and how I enjoy traveling so this is truly a blend of my everyday life which keeps me constantly on the go.

For New Yorkers, Bermuda is surprisingly close–a quick 2 hour plane trip that is well worth it. Blue waters and skies await. Sandy beaches, fresh fish and rum punch are a guarantee. It is ideal for a quick weekend getaway. Hope to see you here!
