The Oasis with AOL and Huffington Post

Sunday was another great day for me during the New York Wine and Food Festival, as I got to participate in another cooking demonstration for parents and children at AOL and Huffington Post’s “Oasis”. Located at the Dream Hotel Downtown lied a place to escape from the fast pace of the Festival and grab a massage or replenish with fresh cut fruits and juices, granola and honey parfaits and exotic tea beverages. The space hosted a series of relaxing events and healthy cooking demos.  I featured my popular Avocado and Banana Smoothie and a Peanut Hummus. New Video for NYC Taxi: Teaming Up with AOL and Citizen Schools

I really enjoyed teaming up with AOL to host students Citizen Schools stop by Red Rooster recently.  It’s an organization very close to my heart, so it means a lot to me to have them come by the restaurant for a tour and “Incredible Edibles” apprenticeship. It’s great to show young kids just how important community is so that they grow up and want to be just as involved. Red Rooster is a great source of community for Harlem no matter what age you are!
