All-American Surf & Turf on CBS Early Show

By Marcus Samuelsson | June 29, 2010

Today, I prepared an all-American surf & turf on the CBS Early Show. I made a simple, inexpensive flank steak with some chimichurri sauce and highlighted  shrimp from the Gulf. Hope you buy some seafood from the Gulf for your Fourth of July barbecue!

Yummy Lentil Soup on “The Early Show”

By Marcus Samuelsson | March 4, 2010

Yesterday morning, New York City was cold, gray and super wet. What a perfect time to be on the CBS Early Show and create my recipe for Lentil Soup with Meatballs. Great comfort food for a days like we’re having this week.

Comfort Food with a Twist with Harry Smith on “The Early Show”

By Marcus Samuelsson | February 16, 2010

I went on the CBS “The Early Show” to teach Harry Smith how to make a classic American comfort food dish: fried chicken, with an international twist. You certainly know fried chicken is an all-American dish, but you may not know that it’s eaten throughout the world. So I created a spiced-up version using a variety of international seasonings, coconut milk, and a crispy panko crust. I also brought in some juicy collard greens and bacon, and a bit of rich bread pudding. I had such a great time preparing this yummy American meal with Harry, and look forward to doing it again!

So tell me, how do you make your fried chicken?
