Macy's Cooking Class

Macy’s Herald Square sure is delicious. Marcus Samuelsson recently headed to the De Gustibus cooking school located inside of Macy’s on the 8th floor for an evening of cooking, laughter, and a great cause. Marcus: Yes, Chef: Charity Event  was an evening of demonstration class and tasting, showcasing Marcus’s journey through life and food in Sweden, Ethiopia and the hustle and bustle of New York City. De Gustibus recreational cooking school, founded in 1980, hosts demonstrations by the most superior international chefs and wine experts, and Marcus is no stranger to superior food. Read More

On set with Ann for Today Show segment

We’re closing in on week one of the “Yes, Chef” tour and the reception to the book has exceeded all my wildest expectations. My amazing PR team and I hit the ground running with two segments at the Today Show on Tuesday morning where we demo’d my mother’s cabbage rolls with Ann Curry (good luck and thank you for your kind words), and had some fun with Hoda, Kathie Lee and my “Yes, Chef” cocktail.  Read More

By admin | December 9, 2011

Macy’s is celebrating generosity and giving throughout the holiday season by declaring December 9th “National Believe Day.” As part of Macy’s “Believe” campaign, “National Believe Day” aims to inspire Americans to embrace the spirit of goodwill, while spreading the holiday season’s message through charitable efforts and kindheartedness toward others. To commemorate the day this year, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Macy’s will grant “Wishes Across America” to children with life-threatening medical conditions.

As it has for the past three years, Macy’s “Believe” campaign invites children of all ages to mail letters to Santa using Macy’s Santa Mail Letterboxes. Macy’s donates $1 for each letter received, up to $1 million, to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. For every stamped letter to Santa that Macy’s collects on Friday, December 9th, Macy’s will be giving an additional dollar to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The extra $1 is above and beyond Macy’s $1 million goal.
