Ne-Yo at Ginny's

Ne-Yo gives an impromptu acapella performance.

Being in the restaurant business you never know who might walk through your doors. What I’m learning about the entertainment business is, you might know who’s performing, but you never know what to expect. This past week Ginny’s hosted two incredible artists from opposite ends of the spectrum–Jimmy Scott gave us three great performances (being 86 years old this was quite a show) and Ne-Yo hosted Motown Monday.

I want to thank Ne-Yo up high for being here–his energy and enthusiasm brought out the crowds and there wasn’t an empty seat in the house. As Vice-President for A&R at Motown, he brought up Kevin Ross (this kid’s got serious talent) then introduced Elijah Kelley, his co-star in Red Tails. It was Elijah’s first ever public performance but you would have never known it. From his soulful singing to him doing backflips off the banquettes, the crowd went wild.  Read More

But before Compound Entertainment and Motown Recording Artist Ne-Yo continues his takeover of the music world, he’s taking over the mic at Ginny’s on June 11th for a very special Motown MondayRead More
