Recap: The Taste Finale Viewing Party

By Marcus Samuelsson | January 23, 2015

I had a great time last night at The Taste Finale Viewing Party at Ginny’s Supper Club. I couldn’t be prouder of Team Marcus for bringing their passion and determination to the competition and taking home the win.

Last night, I got to cook for the party with Gabe and Tristan from Team Marcus. In keeping with the theme of the night, we prepared a few different “tastes” of our own like Tristen’s Duck Meatball and Citrus-Cured Hamachi. I’m definitely looking forward to having Tristen as a part of the Red Rooster team.

Congratulations to Gabe, and all the other chef-testants – it was an incredible season.

Chicken and Champagne Night

By Jeannette Park | November 7, 2013

_DSC1068Proving there’s nothing we love more than some great fried chicken and some cold champagne, Red Rooster hosted a full capacity crowd Wednesday night for a fun and boisterous Chicken and Champagne event. An ode to the original Red Rooster’s tradition, it was a great showing of the community coming together under one roof, complete with a surprise cake for Marcus and a special Bonicella performance for the birthday boy. Thanks to Mario Rinaldi and the Paul Goerg team for their attempted sabre-ing of a magnum bottle of the bubbly. And in case you missed the Chicken and Waffles, Spicy Chicken Wings, Chicken Nuggets with B.B.Roo Sauce, and Chicken Liver Crostini, stay tuned for our next event which will be held sometime in February. Take a look of some pictures from last night’s celebration, complete with amazing jazz tunes from Louis Fouché.

The Neighborhood Charter School of Harlem (NCSH) is a free public charter school that recently opened in August 2012 on 124th St. and Lenox, just two blocks from Red Rooster Harlem. The program focuses on a challenging K-8 academic platform that seeks to promote the intellectual, social and emotional development of each child. A unique feature of the school is its fully inclusive programming for high functioning children with autism spectrum disorders. The particular segment of children has been most in need as many children from the Upper Manhattan, Harlem area go undetected for these particular service needs. NCSH will be one of several schools who have the opportunity to visit the Red Rooster Harlem this Fall to learn about meal preparation, healthier eating and overall restaurant business operations.
